written by Dave Petrunia I recently was having a conversation with someone close to me about what is going on around us in this world, and I said to them, “Sooner or later there will be a generation that will experience the beginning of sorrows that Jesus talked about in Matthew 24:8” and we may just be the generation that sees this come to pass. But this is not the end of our story, it is the countdown to the greatest move of God since the world began.
Let us ponder this for a moment. We are facing the worst times the world has ever known, and the greatest outpouring of the Spirt of the living God. These will be the most exciting times for a believer. We know Jesus is alive and well, and we can sometimes take that fact for granted. But sadly, the world does not know this, and that is the reason we are here, for such a time as this! To be his hand extended to a deceived and dying world.
My beloved brother and sisters, we are bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, we are as He is, 1 John tells us this. Well do you believe this? Listen either we are as He is or not. This is a truth just as real as the fact that Jesus died, and He was raised from the dead for us. So, our response when we hear this, should be ‘yes a thousand times yes’.
You, me, us in Christ; we are the force Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against! Yes you, me, us, in him, filled with the Holy Spirit and armed with the word of God. Led by his Spirit surrounded by an enumerable company of angels. We are to be overcomers, our Lord said when you see these things come to pass, look up, rejoice your redemption draws nigh (it is getting closer by the day). He said, get excited about it, and be of good cheer in John 16:33 - I have overcome the world.
Let us go into this new year leaving behind our favorite doubts and pet fears, looking unto Him the author and finisher of our faith. Let us draw on and trust in the strength of Christ in us, and we will make it through no matter what comes.
We are not alone, and not only are we not alone, but we are so loved and cherished by our Father. So how about we let Him be our God 100% of the time this year and run to Him no matter what may come our way. After all, that is who He is, God… and He is awesome! But please never forget He is your Heavenly Father, by His own choice and desire.
Eph 1 : 3- 5 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ; according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love; Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will."
Love and blessings
